Norimachi Privacy Policy

Overview

RINSAI TECH Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") sets out this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of user information in our mobile application "Norimachi" (the "App"). The App is an unofficial application that displays bus-approach and timetable information for stops by referencing publicly available operating information published by Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Nishitetsu Bus). By design, we collect the minimum information necessary. The App has no user accounts and does not send your location to our servers.

Location (used on-device only / never transmitted)

Only if you grant permission in order to use the "nearby stops" feature, the App obtains your device location while the App is in use (When-In-Use). Your location is used solely on your device to sort and display stops near you, and is never sent to or stored on our servers, our relay, or any external service. Granting location permission is optional; other features (such as searching for a stop by name) work without it. You may revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.

Information stored on your device (never transmitted)

Your favorite stops, recently viewed stops, and cached stop-resolution results (to speed up display) are stored only in local storage on your device. They are not sent to us and are removed when you delete the App.

Communication to retrieve stop and operating information

When you perform an action that displays a stop or its operating information, the App retrieves the relevant information from Nishitetsu's public website (jik.nishitetsu.jp) via our relay, which runs on Cloudflare Workers. This communication transmits only the search term, stop name, stop code, and display language; it does not transmit information identifying you, nor your location. As is inherent to any network communication, your IP address is processed at the network-infrastructure layer (Cloudflare) as standard access logs for the purposes of delivering the request, preventing abuse, and security. Purpose: Providing the App's core function (displaying bus-approach and timetable information); stable operation and security of the communication infrastructure.

Information related to advertising

The App displays advertisements using Google's advertising service, Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). The App serves non-personalized ads (NPA) only (requestNonPersonalizedAdsOnly: true) and does not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Even for non-personalized ads, Google collects and processes information such as your IP address (including coarse, city-level geographic estimation), device identifiers (because ATT is not requested, the advertising identifier IDFA is not used; app-scoped identifiers and similar are used instead), and information about ad impressions and interactions — for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention. Provision to Third Parties / Processors

Except as required by law, we do not provide your personal information to third parties. Cross-Border Transfer

Both Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. referenced above are located outside Japan (primarily in the United States), and using these services may involve transferring information outside Japan. Each provider implements measures to protect personal information under its own privacy policy and the applicable data-protection framework. Security Measures

We implement necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of the information we handle, including encryption of communications (HTTPS). Location and on-device stored data are processed only on your device and are not sent to our servers, structurally minimizing leakage risk on our side.

Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use

By design, we hold almost no personal data in a form that identifies a specific individual (location never leaves the device, and there are no accounts). Nevertheless, if you request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of personal data we hold, we will respond without undue delay in accordance with applicable law, after verifying your identity. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children in particular, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Users Outside Japan (GDPR, etc.)

The App is primarily intended for use within Japan, but may be used by users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other regions, such as travelers visiting Japan. We keep the information we collect to a minimum, do not transmit your location off the device, and do not serve personalized ads. Users in the EEA, the UK, and similar jurisdictions may have rights under applicable law to access, correct, or delete their personal data. Please use the contact below for such requests.

Changes to this Policy

We may amend this Policy in response to changes in law or the App's features. If we make material changes, we will announce them in the App or on this page.
